Kara Nisbet Hotchandani is a distinguished attorney and the visionary founder of Nisbet Hotchandani & Co Ltd, a dynamic new law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services with a global perspective. With an impressive academic background and a wealth of experience, Kara blends her legal expertise with a keen understanding of the business world to deliver outstanding results for her clients.

Kara’s journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of South Florida, which she completed in 2011. Her passion for law then led her to the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom, where she earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with First Class Honors in 2014. During her time at Buckingham, Kara’s academic excellence was recognized with multiple awards, including the Prize for Best Performance in the Part 1 Examinations and The Butterworths Prize for the Best Performance in the Part II Examinations.

Further honing her expertise, Kara pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Banking and Finance Law from Duke University in 2015, where she developed a deep understanding of complex financial regulations. She later completed the Legal Education Certificate (L.E.C.) at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica in 2019. Kara was admitted to practice law in New York in August 2017 and was called to the Bar of Belize in August 2019.

In addition to her legal practice, Kara serves on the Board of Directors for several private companies across various sectors in Belize.
